An hour later and we’re on the road heading to the beach.

Isaac sorted everything he said he would. We have a picnic basket on the back seat, we’re both dressed for the beach, and we have a beautiful midnight blue convertible to get us there.

When Isaac told me to get ready, I had a brief moment of panic, trying to remember whether I’d packed anything suitable for the beach. Then I remembered the last-minute addition to my case in the form of a sexy white two piece that I don’t think I’ve worn since I bought it back when I was eighteen. I’ll admit, I’m amazed it still fits me.

I threw on the bikini, along with a bright yellow summer dress. I put my hair up into a high ponytail and grabbed my oversized bag that I decided would be perfect for the beach. After throwing in my eReader, sun cream, a bottle of water and a towel. I was ready to go.

It took me longer to get ready than Isaac. I was surprised, considering how much more he had to do compared to me, what with clearing away breakfast, organising the car and then the picnic. By the time I came out of the bathroom he was ready and waiting for me in black swim shorts and a casual linen shirt. His rucksack with everything he needed for the day was slung over his shoulder. All that was left to do was for me to slip my feet into a pair of sandals and put my sunglasses on my head, and we were off.

We’ve been on the road for ten minutes now, and I must admit, you’ve not seen Italy until you’ve seen it in glorious sunshine from a convertible as the wind whips through your hair. The scenery is breath-taking. I can see why Isaac’s parents moved out here. If I get the chance, I might even consider it too.

Reaching into my bag, I take out my eReader and pull up the latest hot romance that’s all the rage at the moment. I’ve never been one to follow trends, but seeing as everyone is raving about this book, including Amber and Gaby, I need to see what all the fuss is about. I’m just getting to a particularly hot scene when the car slows, and I look up to see we’ve arrived.

I take a moment to just look out over the white sands and the crystal-clear waters. It looks like something out of a holiday brochure, and the excitement I felt earlier when Isaac said we were coming here starts to bubble back to the surface.

While Isaac parks the car, I put my eReader back in my bag and unfasten my seatbelt. As soon as the car comes to a stop, I jump out and wait for him to join me before I practically run down to the sand. Isaac secures us a couple of loungers and an umbrella, and I take a seat, looking out over the water.
